It's Thursday, in case you don't know - CSÜTÖRTÖK.
Music: Zoommm...draws you into the ambient
Guys: two hot, two cute, two sweet. Wait, there were only four of them
The Girl: a glance
Lights: "like"
Topic: cliché
Concept: excellent
Costume: casual
The all in all midnight-impression: A+
Do differences matter? Is it Cluj Napoca or Kolozsvár? How to flatter a girl? When is half past 3? Does Berlusconi stand for Italy and Sárközy for France?
Forget it! is maybe the most international performance of the 2011 Thealter International. The dancers Alain, Catalin, Massimo and Ákos come from four different countries: France, Romania, Italy and Hungary. They all want to get the Hungarian Kati's heart. (Guess who wins! If you get it right, you get a surprise.)
We were anxcious about the late start of the show but the humorous intercultural conflicts cheered the audience up in a minute. Ákos Dózsa, the coreographer/director was playing with stereotypes but also going beyond that. The babelic cavalcade of languages - including the (Hungarian) sign language, - spiced up with the eternal man-woman stress thing made the dance performance into a whole.
Every conflict can be solved -
as long as the HEART beats to the natural rythm.

Due to funding, it can happen that there won't be more performances of Forget it! But don't worry, here is an excerpt and you can find also the whole show on youtube:
(PS: It was centered around my MA &research topic ;-) Dancing a research...research told in dance! Annyoing, isn't it.)
